2nd Grade Helps the Detroit Dog Rescue
As a community service project, the second grade collected items for the Detroit Dog Rescue.
The second grade had a visit from Kristina Rinaldi from the Detroit Dog Rescue. She came in to talk to us about proper pet care and animal safety. Kristina’s visit inspired the students to help the rescue group and organize a donation drive. The students created posters and made announcements in order to encourage participation from the whole school. Harms families came through and we received many donations of dog bowls, leashes, new and gently used blankets/towels, cleaning supplies, and dog treats.
