Academic Games is a competitive activity in which players win by out-thinking each other in mathematics, language arts, and social studies. All students must participate in the game of Equations. Equations requires students to use 24 cubes that have either mathematical operations or digits to create complex equations. At Harms our students have also excelled in On-Words. Similar to playing Equations, the game of On-Words is played with 24 phonics cubes that students use to build words. This year Harms will compete in the Game of Presidents as well. Students must identify U.S. presidents given a series of clues.
We are learning quite a bit at our practices and our monthly tournaments.
